Sunday

It was warm yesterday. A lot warmer than they had forecasted. Friday night, after Clint and Shannon's dodgeball game, we were standing outside the school and we looked up and saw stars...lots of stars...it was wonderful! Anywho, we got up later than I had planned...the alarm always ends up getting turned off...and by the time I got outside, I knew it would be too warm for me to work in the sun. So I worked inside until we went over to Enumclaw to drop off a Grover full of cardboard at the landfill. Afterwards we stopped off at Baskin Robbins for a cone (had two $2 coupons courtesy of my work) One last stop was to fill up the gas can for Johnny later in the day.

Last night, I was really tired to the point of my eyes burning, but when we got ready for bed, it was just too warm to sleep. Bob nodded off pretty quick-what's new?-and I read for a bit. He is closer to the fan than me and I think he had a much cooler night than me. I tried to sleep and an hour later was still awake, so got up and powered up the computer again. Took a couple of Benedryl because my chest was tight and read for a bit longer until my eyes got really tired and tried to sleep again. Finally!!! Around 3 a.m., I finally fell asleep. This morning, I dragged my body downstairs and about fell back asleep again. Bob was amused :-P

We are going to head out this afternoon to help Chris celebrate his 27th birthday which is April 14th-he is the age I was when he was born! Yikes!

Shannon, Clint and the boys are joining us, but we aren't sure that Sean and Candice will be able to come because of their home and time constraints in getting it ready for sale.

Enough for now. Got to get some things done before heading out.

Saturday evening

It's Saturday evening, almost 7 p.m. and I am stuck inside while Bob has fun on his riding lawn mower. I was outside for awhile attempting to tame last year's weeds in our flower garden at the side of our home. I got about 1/4 through it when I heard Johnny being powered up. Since I cannot tolerate newly mowed grass, especially damp newly mowed grass, I quickly finished up on the side and made a hasty retreat indoors where I am safe. It really is too bad, since I really like to mow lawns...it gives me a good chance to reflect on whatever is on my mind at the time. So, I will work on inside things, like laundry and making dinner.

Let me brag about my hubby. He is a gem who I wouldn't trade for the world. He is one of those guys who isn't afraid to be seen doing laundry, shopping or making dinner and does so on a regular basis for me. I love him with all my heart and am glad that God pushed us together 35+ years ago. I am taking off this week to be with my gal friends from Wednesday through Sunday and I know that he will be able to take care of himself just fine. He does so much for me and I love to brag to my friends just how great he is.

Kids-I couldn't ask for 3 better kids-actually, adult kids. They have all done well for themselves and I very proud of them.

Grandkids-Love them to pieces and love being able to be close enough to them to be able to spoil them a bit. That's what being a grandparent is all about. They are all different and I love them for those differences.
Time to make dinner.
